BMC collaborating with AWS to deliver a fast, secure, and cost-effective way to migrate enterprise workloads to AWS
NEW YORK – BMC EXCHANGE NYC— October 12, 2017 – BMC, a global leader in IT solutions for the digital enterprise, today announced a collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help customers move enterprise workloads to AWS faster in a secure, low-risk, and cost-effective way.
According to the Frost & Sullivan Cloud User Survey, 57 percent of IT decision makers cite migrating data and applications to the cloud as a challenge. In their move to the cloud, companies want to be agile and efficient, reduce costs, and move workloads in a secure and manageable way.
“CIOs and enterprise IT teams are facing critical migration and management challenges in the move to the cloud,” said Bill Berutti, President, Enterprise Solutions, BMC. “Customers want the ability to securely run their applications on AWS, and they want more choices in how their applications and services are delivered. Our collaboration delivers on their needs by combining BMC’s deep IT and cloud management expertise with AWS’ capabilities. Thanks to this collaboration, we will move businesses forward and help organizations more effectively migrate and manage their cloud environments and services. This is a significant first step in our ongoing commitment to help customers with their journey to AWS.”
Many of BMC’s leading multi-cloud solutions already run on AWS, including Remedy OnDemand, the TrueSight AIOps platform, Control-M, and its SecOps Response Service and Policy Service, and Innovation Suite solutions. With BMC Solutions, businesses decide which workloads to move to the cloud.
For example, businesses with complex hybrid environments can leverage BMC Discovery for Multi-Cloud to empower enterprise IT teams with visibility and control over all on-premises and cloud IT assets - including their relationships - across private and public clouds and in the data center.
With TrueSight Cloud Cost Control, a cost management solution, organizations can forecast cloud expenditures before they migrate to the cloud. Companies can analyze current and future costs, and the utilization of cloud infrastructure services, providing insight and control over capital and operating expenditures.
In addition to being an AWS Technology Independent Software Vendors (ISV) Alliance Partner, BMC’s solutions are also available on AWS Marketplace.
BMC’s cloud management solutions are immediately available today and can been seen at the AWS re:INVENT 2017 conference in Las Vegas, NV, November 27, through December 1, 2017.
